Mel and Janet's Excellent Adventure

This blog is a way for Janet and Mel to communicate with friends and family during their incredible journeys following retirement. Of course, some adventures are less than incredible. You might not find those here. Their most recent adventure took them to Okinawa, Japan to see their now 4-year old twin grandchildren, Milana Michelle and Tavis Michael. Feel free to add your comments, questions, or just news. Private communications can be sent to m-muchnik@sbcglobal.net.

We have come to Okinawa to meet our new twin grandchildren, Tavis Michael and Milana Michelle. The southernmost prefecture ( or state) of Japan, Okinawa is a small island that is at the latitude of Miami. Typhoons are an almost yearly occurance with their 200 mile an hour winds. But this is the placid view from the ridge just above where Aaron and Nozomi live. The East China sea glimmers as do the fortified houses. China is due west. The island is beautful, teaming with natural suroundings, history and strategic location.
