A tale of two villages (well, they are not cities)

To back track a bit, when we visited the castle at Chenenceau, we asked for the audio guide. Turns out it was an audio and video guide, using what I thought was an IPhone but which Mel says was the new IPod. When he handed them to us, the clerk said, "Steve Jobs lives!"

In preparation for the trip, I had looked at "The Most Beautiful Villages of France". We detoured a bit to see one of them: Angles Sur Anglin. It definitely was. The town was in two sections. One was on a hill overlooking the part that was below the river. Our guidebook said there was written evidence of the presence of the town and castle from before 1000. The castle is in ruins but the town is just beautiful. We stayed in a wonderful small hotel near Limoges and, the next day, visited town number two, Oradour Sur Glane.
