Finally Getting to the Rock
Uluru or Ayers Rock is magnificent, rising from the semi arid desert floor to 378 meters (more in yards), it is higher than the Eiffel tower. It goes more than 2 miles underground. It is a sacred place to the aboriginals there who share the management of this national park and were given back the land in just 1985. We were there for sunset and of course the clouds did not allow us to see the red glow that pulsates through the desert when conditions are right. So Janet takes matters into her own hands.
