The Franch Train Conductor
We took a train from Avignon to Charles De Gaulle airport. The train conductor was a "hippy-looking" guy with a long pony tail. He came through the car to check our tickets. When the man sitting next to me handed him a pass and identity card, the conductor said something about the guy looking "tres fatigue." I could not catch the rest of his comments but suddenly the conductor took a large, black leather wallet out of his pocket which burst into flames.
Then, he went on to the people behind us, one of whom was a young boy. Suddenly, the conductor brought a pack of oversize playing cards out of his conductor's bag and began playing card tricks for the kid. I could follow his questions, "Ou est le rouge?" (Where is the red?) which was never where it was supposed it be.
It was a riot.
