Mel and Janet's Excellent Adventure

The Vastness of Africa

Stretching for hundreds of miles in all directions. the land undulates, has rivers, forests, grasslands ... many vegetation zones. The word Serengeti means "endless" as in the Serengeti Plain. The large trees are Baobab trees. Seeing animals in the distance is a given. Seeing them close up became more common than we ever could have believed.
