From Rangiroa, French Polynesia
Hello all - First, I have changed the settings I hope so that anyone can comment without registration. Hope that makes it easier for all. Just click comment and it should work more easily without any hassle. Just did not realize that setting was there.
Finally found a way to send an image at an internet cafe - the ONLY internet cafe on this 10 km (6.2 miiles) strip of sand on the north side of an atoll. This is our front yard: Yeeks - this won't work. OK - you'll have to wait until we can find a better way to do this. Damn.
Anyway - sorry - images may have to wait a bit. We are fine. Janet coughing less, but scaring the fishes as she coughs her way above them in her snorkeling mask. The best snorkeling turns out to be right out our bungalow and into the water. Today sunny and glorious and the water here is crystal clear. We're ready for one of those Coroner ads. Tomorrow we take a boat across the lagoon to a reef island where there is supposed to be the best snorkeling on this atoll.
We're hear until Wednesday when we fly to Tahiti. New friends from here are picking us up - Bernard, Josiene and their sone Hugo - and taking us home to dinner. Later that night we fly two hours west to Raratonga in the Cook Islands where we stay for a week.
Isn't this a great way to communicate?

Gee Mel - Thanks for the posting improvement to the blog - whereas before I was "Sally" now I am anonymous because "Sally" was taken ....but I think it was taken by me. I never cared much about my name but it does have sentimental value because my mother gave it to me!! Anonymous (is there a spell checker here??)
