Finding the trash bins

In many older European villages, where the streets are hilly and/or narrow, houses close together and parking difficult, collection of garbage requires that people bring their garbage and recycling to bins placed on wider streets. That's what we're supposed to do. So two days ago, we put our bags of garbage and recycling in the car and drove to where our landlady said we would find the bins. No bins. Drove around town looking. No bins. Asked at the post office where they were. No one working there knew. Finally, we took it with us and found bins in a neighboring town. Next day, we noticed bins on a road near the church. Of course, it was a narrow (almost one-lane road with two way traffic.). So I called the rental office and explained our problem. The husband of our landlord told me "oh, yes. They are always moving them around." He promised to find out where they were. He asked what we had done with ours. We told him we took it to Sarlat.

Today we tried again. We asked in the tourist office. She directed us to a certain location. Got there. No bins. So we took our garbage to Le Bugue. In this manner, we are getting rid of our garbage and getting to visit some very attractive villages.
